Evolving style

Yesterday after a long morning meeting and before my long afternoon meeting, I decided to take a short break and wonder over to Merrick Park. The mall has mostly high end (Dior, Betsy Johnson, DVF, Jimmy Choo, Burberry, CH... you get the point) stores and I absolutely love to dream about wearing some of them. Obviously I don't shop at those stores so I headed over to my usual spots, Bebe, B&P over at Nordstrom and vs. As I was leaving I decied to take one last stroll and walked in to Ann Taylor. I have always been a huge fan and own many work outfits from Ann Taylor, however, today I discovered that this might be my favorite store. Everything was just perfect and beautiful, so much so that it made me want to wear white skinny jeans with a pink cardigan and pearls on a date the playground with the munchkin. I had an epiphany... I can no longer shop at Bebe (yuck... what happened? was I blind a few years ago or did they decided to go tacky on me?). My new favorite casual wear (not just work wear) store is Ann Taylor. Does that say something about my upcoming birthday? lol.

Who ordered the sake?

We had the best time last weekend and I think it was because it started off with a bang. Remember I mentioned hubby had part 1 of the CPA exam on Friday? Well he took it and thinks he did ok though I'm sure he did great. To celebrate his short break from studying, we decided to get together with our best friends for sushi and sake. Our friends are always a blast and by the end of the night we had a table full of empty beer and sake bottles. Here are some pictures:

Hubby is taking part 1 of the CPA exam today and I'm so nervous for him. He has been studying so hard lately and I really hope he can move on to part 2. He doesn't find out for a month which is a HUGE bummer but in the mean time I plan to enjoy his company. It's so weird how much I have missed him even though he is right here every day. The good news is that tonight we will be celebrating with our friends over at RA sushi... I know he is looking forward to the sake bombs.

I'm so glad the weekend is finally here. Saturday morning is the March of Dimes and I will be up bright and early to participate in the walk.

Hump day blues

It’s only Wednesday and already the week has been so stressful. So much is going on at work and I’m hoping it’s over soon. Hubby is taking part 1 of the CPA exam on Friday and I couldn’t be happier because that means I get him back for a few weeks starting this weekend. Thank God for my little munchkin ;) he is keeping me sane.

Girls Trip to NY

Every year for Memorial Day weekend my hubby and his guy friends rent a house down in the Florida Keys. They spend their time boating and doing whatever it is that boys do when we aren't around. For the last 2 years I stayed home because I was either preggers or with my munchkin. This year I WILL BE IN NY with the girls and the excitement is taking over my life. Not only will I be with my BEST friends in the world but get this... it happens to be the same weekend SATC 2 will be released... we are SATC fanatics (that's actually an understatement)... ask me anything? lol

I'm so looking forward to the trip and Mrs. Boots already has our itinerary ready to go. I have vacationed in NY several times but never on a girl’s trip during SATC 2 weekend. Speaking of… have you seen the trailer? No?? Check it out here: http://www.sexandthecitymovie.com/

Rincon Argentino

One of the reasons I love living in Miami is that on any given night you can taste food from any Latin American country. Last weekend was my good friend Kathy's birthday and a few of us met at a delicious Argentine restaurant for dinner. Kathy is from Argentina and not only did she contribute to my already ridiculous love of meat but she also introduced me to her country’s best kept secret, Malbec , my favorite wine. If you haven’t tried it… do it now and I promise you won’t regret it.

One week late but better late than never

I have been trying to share my Easter pictures with you guys since earlier this week but hubby is currently working on CPA exam and hogging up the laptop. This Easter with Matt was quite different than last because this year he got the point of looking for eggs which made it so much more fun for me. Late in the afternoon I met with my Friend Daniela and her daughter Annabella for an Easter egg hunt.

FINALLY!! She's here :)

I spent the weekend getting to know someone and I can say I’m totally in love :)

As you guys might recall, I spent the last few months whining and complaining about my camera and I convinced hubby that I needed a new one. I was originally set on an advanced digital camera since it would have been a huge upgrade from the one I had but hubby convinced me that I needed to go big or go home. So…… that’s my story :) I’m now the proud owner of an SLR and I love it. There is so much I don’t know so I would appreciate any tips from experienced users.

Time Travel Thursday

Yes, I know... its Friday and I'm a tad late. It's been a crazy week with all of the INSANE politics on T.V and this made me start thinking of a simpler time, a time when watching T.V. meant relaxing.
